ON FRIDAYS EVERYONE EATS COUSCOUS LITERALLY EVERYONE IN THE COUNTRY
FRIDAY IS COUSCOUS DAY
I LOVE THIS COUNTRY
Friday is also comparable to Sunday for us, a day of rest. I was walking home from class and I walked on the street most of the way because the sidewalks were filled with men on their prayer mats, facing the same direction. There is also a time each day from 2(ish) to 5(ish) PM called "siesta" time, where almost all of the stores close and everyone goes home and naps/relaxes. On Fridays, I believe siesta time is even longer.
THE COUNTRY HAS NAP TIME EVERY DAY.
ANOTHER REASON WHY I LOVE THIS COUNTRY.
I think siesta time is midday during the summer because it is so gosh darn hot every day. I guess I will find out if siesta time changes when the weather starts to cool down.
My roommate and I decided to roam around behind our house, further away from the city center. We went followed a small opening in between two buildings and found this wide open dirt patch with a beautiful view.
